This package is
not for real estate licensees; it is for
employees who conduct brokerage services under the California
Residential Mortgage Lenders Act (CRMLA)
license. This act requires that prior to providing brokerage
services and thereafter once every four years, those employees providing
brokerage services must complete a three-hour course in ethics,
professional conduct and legal aspects of real estate, and a three-hour
course in agency relationships and duties in a real estate brokerage.
We provide a package of two courses (Ethics and Agency) which meets this
requirement. These courses are approved by the Department of Real
Estate (DRE) and consequently meet the California Department of
Corporations requirements for licensing and renewal. Click
here for the Department of Corporations' explanation of this
requirement.
Our package consists of
two, three-hour courses: 1) Ethics, and 2) Agency.
To complete each course you must pass its final exam. Each exam is
comprised of 25 true/false questions; passing is 70%. You may take
any exam for as many times as you to pass. Should retake an exam
you need not re-key your answers from your previous attempt. Once
you have passed both courses, you may print a "certificate" to document
your satisfactory completion of these two courses.
Each course has a
PDF-formatted textbook which you may read online,
download to your computer, or print. The length of each book is the
minimum number of pages permitted by the DRE; thirty pages for each
book. To view the first
15 pages of either course's textbook, including its table of contents,
click it's name:
Ethics ,
Agency .
Once you complete the
registration process and pay for the package, you will have immediate
access to your course materials and exams.
