“This course was TREMENDOUS.”

Walter Moore, Real Estate Broker & Attorney; [Please do not contact.] (full quote)

Our 45HOURS package has two parts:  1) our 15HOURS package and 2) our 30-hour Consumer Protection Reader course.

Our 15HOURS package satisfies the mandatory course component of the 45-hour CE requirement.  It consists of five, three-hour courses:  1) Ethics, 2) Agency, 3) Trust Funds, 4) Fair Housing, and 5) Risk Management (To view the first 15 pages of any course's textbook, including its table of contents, click it's name:  Ethics, Agency, Trust Funds, Fair Housing, and Risk Management.)

Your course, in particular the Consumer Protection Reader portion, is profoundly relevant and helpful for practicing day to day! It is truly the best content and style I have ever seen for helping agents have an overview of what they need to know to be a helpful and efficient to our clients. I think it should be mandatory reading for any agent, especially as a new agent license requirement.”

Pam Sorter, Prudential California Real Estate [Please do not contact.] (full quote)

Our 30-hour Consumer Protection Reader, 2012 has two sections.  First is “Defensive Real Estate” its text covers the first 60 pages of this course's 250-page textbook.  It is an extension of our three-hour Risk Management course and, as such, provides additional tips on how to avoid disputes with your clients.

The second section is “Consumer Protection Articles.”   It contains over 100 articles drawn from two sources: (1) the DRE’s Real Estate Bulletin and (2) RealtyTimes.com.  Taken together, the articles give you a thorough review of changes affecting California real estate brokerage over the preceding four years (the book is updated annually last update:  October 2011).  Areas covered include law, taxes, industry, financing, mortgages, settlement, risk management, and home ownership.  Click here to view the first 100 pages of the Reader’s textbook including its table of contents.

Consumer Protection Reader, 2012; Part 2/2
The Consumer Protection Reader is a 30-hour course with a 250-page textbook.  Since the DRE limits the number of CE hours which can be completed to 15 hours in any 24-hour period, we must split its final exam into two parts.

IMPORTANTThe DRE requires you to wait four days after paid registration before taking any final exam; and the DRE limits the number of course-hours you may complete to 15-hours in any 24-hour period.  Therefore, the minimum number of days needed to pass all courses assuming you do not fail the course by failing two successive examinations (see below paragraph) is a little over six days.  For a detailed explanation of how you may pass all courses in six days, click here.

DOUBLY IMPORTANT:  New DRE examination rules went into effect April 1st, 2011:  You now have just two chances to pass any course.  If, for any course, you fail its first exam, you may immediately attempt to pass a second exam composed of different questions.  Should you fail the second exam, you must wait until that course's study period (see above table) has expired before making another attempt to pass the course (or any other course).  The study period for this package's five, three-hour courses (see above table) is just three hours; but the study period for our two, 15-hour examinations (see above table) is two days!  For details and an example, click here.

We guarantee the DRE will accept the continuing education credits you earn providing you complete the course within one year after your paid registration.

Only $38.25 if you pass our Demo first.

After you pass your exams, we provide a "certificate."  It lists the DRE-assigned "certificate number" for each course.  You will enter these six numbers when prompted by DRE's license renewal site (eLicensing).  We provide renewal instructions and a link to DRE's renewal site once you have completed all courses.
